Introduction
Welcome to the only TFL approved fanlisting for relationship between Charles Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart) and Erik Lehnsherr aka Magneto (played by Ian McKellen). The scenes between the two of them are so powerful. They are the ones, and the lines spoken in them that really stick in my mind. They are two friends who are clearly still friends, in X3 Magneto mourns Charles' death. He never acted directly against him either. In other meetings he clearly doesn't want to oppose him but their differing beliefs on humanity divide them. It's sad but so believable. For me their relationship is a very big, important part of the movies. The plotlines of which in my view are slightly iffy, their relationship lends credibility to it. Like when they meet at the beginning of X1 "I'm looking for hope" "I will bring you hope old friend. We are the future Charles not them, they no longer matter" and at the end of X1 "And I always be there old friend" it's just so great.If you're a fan of Xavier and Magneto's relationship please consider joining.
