Info: This season had so many amazing episodes in it. Nadia is a fantastic character and this is her main season, I love the interaction between her and Weiss, they were such a great couple. With that there's the fact that there's more Weiss, he was chronically underused before. Then Marshall has his action moment where he saves Syd and Hong Kong in 4.13 Tuesday. There's a return to the Rambaldi and I love those storylines, the way they are subtly woven in the episodes so you're not sure what the endgame is until the end and what an ending! The fate of the world hangs in the balance in 4.22 Before the Flood. There's loads of other great episodes as well, Welcome to Liberty Village had a little more Syd/Vaughn than I like but it was quite a funny episode. There's a lot of lines from this season that stick in my head like the "You're both on comms" exchange in 4.21 - Search and Rescue. From 4.03 - The Awful Truth Nadia and Jack's exchange "I've never done anything that lasts this long" "How very sad for you". I could go on and on.

Info: I discovered Alias fairly recently, I watched one episode, and then another, and then another, the cliffhanger endings just hooked me. I just had to keep watching so I got the boxset. My favourite character has got to be Dixon and I hate how Sydney lies to him throughout this season. He's such a standup patriotic guy who deserves to know the truth. Season One is brilliant, what a great opening for a TV Show. There's so many layers in this season (I don't know about later seasons yet), this Rambaldi stuff is frying my brain. That complexity adds such rewatch value it makes it even better. I adopted this fanlisting from Brandon in June 2009 when it had 89 members.

Info: Season Two is my favourite season of Alias. There wasn't a dull moment in the whole season, from the opening where bam mother shot daughter, to the end where there's the fight with clone Francie and then Syd wakes up to find two years have gone. In this season the show continues with it's tendancy for cliffhanger endings. Halfway through this season what we were waiting for happened SD-6/The Alliance got taken down and a greater threat replaces it. Sloane engineered the downfall of the Alliance so he could pursue Rambaldi's endgame. He wasn't alone on that quest. Irina plays a game of her own. There are so many reasons to love this season. Marshall gets kidnapped and he's so brave. He must know when he codes Pong rather than echelon that they will kill him but he doesn't want to betray his country. I love Marshall. Then there's Dixon, they were wrong to not tell him. They use the excuse of "you can't choose the life of a double agent for somebody" because they know that that's what he'd choose. He really proves what a good guy he is when he comes to rescue Syd when she was captured in the Firebomb episode, in many ways I think he's a better friend than she deserves. Then there's more Weiss. I was annoyed when he got shot in the first episode as it took him out of the show for half the season but then when he came back he had more of a role than ever. I love Weiss. There's so many good episodes, I just love how the plot unfolds. Events happen and you think it's for one reason then it turns out to be another. It's brilliant and so interesting to watch. The Passage (1)(2) episodes and A Dark Turn are probably my favourite from the season but I also loved The Abduction (Marshall on a mission), The Getaway, Firebomb, you know what I loved the whole season. There wasn't a single weak episode. There was also more Sark in this and I love him despite the fact that he's a bad guy.

Info: Cagney and Lacey is an 80's cop show with aired on the CBS network. It starred two female detectives, Mary Beth Lacey (Tyne Daly) and Christine Cagney (Sharon Gless). Mary Beth and Christine worked together as partners but they were also good friends. Their on screen performance earned them multiple golden globes each. For a show in the 80's it tackled very sensitive topics including rape and the issue of feminism.

Info: I love CSI: New York, it's my favourite TV show. I own all the merchandise which you can get in England which naturally includes the book series. I have to say that apart from a couple of books these books are my favourite. They are entertaining, engaging, I start to read and I can't put them down. They bring the show to life on paper in a way that isn't possible on screen. True magic and a great read.

Info: I love season four, the show changed dynamic and went for one case per episode mostly, rather than splitting into teams. In the beginning I wasn't sure I liked the change but it's grown on me and the cases sure were interesting. There was so many awesome episodes in this season and many multi-episode story arcs. From Mac's 333 stalker to the Taxi-Cab Killer, from Second Life to James Bond. This season was awesome and not just in terms of the cases. Danny and Lindsay had an on-again/off-again relationship while Danny struggled with the death of a boy in his building, Stella's apartment caught fire and much much more. Just an awesome season.

Info: I love CSI:NY, it's my absolute favourite show and the reason for that is the characters. If it wasn't the characters that made me love the show so much then I would also be a fan of CSI: Vegas and Miami because they have the same sort of cases etc. But I don't like those shows, I never took to them. It's New York that grabbed my attention and refused to let go. There isn't a single character on the show that I dislike, or even love to hate, I love them all and they all have their own part to play, together and individually.

Info: Diagnosis Murder was originally a TV show which starred Dick Van Dyke, his son Barry, Charlie Schattler and Victoria Rowell. Guest stars often included other members of the Van Dyke family which made it a real family affair. However, all good things must come to an end and the show was axed after nine seasons. An executive producer, Lee Goldberg, then took up the challenge of writing a book series based on Diagnosis Murder. This fanlisting is for the TV show and the book series. I adopted this fanlisting from Blossom in July 2006 when it had 19 members.

Info: Jack Bristow has the most amazing voice which when modulated even slightly can show a broad range of emotions. His facial expressions are the same, very controlled but also, if you pay enough attention, very expressive. This controlled demeanor completely suits his character. Everything Jack does is for his daughter, no matter the pain to himself. Jack Bristow is an amazing character and quite possibly my favourite in the Alias universe.

Info: This pairing is just incredible. Even though it seems obvious what happened in 'canon' other interpretations can still be drawn. After all in the Alias universe it's not ever sure if people are really dead. It could be that mystery, that sense that there's always more to it, like peeling back layers of wrapping paper or something that makes it so compelling. The characters also have incredible chemistry, their scenes were so heavy, they didn't need to say a word and the heartache, the betrayal, the anger, the repressed love, it was all there. Sadly they weren't actually on screen that much together. I can't believe the writers killed them both and they made Irina evil. They didn't get the ending they deserved. After all they'd been through together they deserved a happy ending, I figured they weren't exactly going to get one, it wouldn't be their style, but I wanted them together, or at least alive with the possibility. Though I suppose I have my denial universe to keep me happy.
This pairing, it's complicated, it's real, it's compelling and the chemistry is incredible. I've never known a pairing like it. It's not the popular one on Alias but it's the one that has me completely hooked. They just keep coming back to each other; season two in Panama, season three well the missing years, season four, Sevogda. Ok they weren't all true reconciliations but I don't expect that his CIA bosses were very impressed that Irina 'escaped' so he took a risk for her. Risks are in my view a real way of showing how much you love someone. They love each other, they hurt each other, they might well have killed each other if given the chance. Hate, love, passion, betrayal. It's all there.

Info: Dixon is awesome, he's patriotic, loyal, a real leader, everything that you'd look for in a CIA agent I suppose. He's more than that though, he was devastated when his wife was killed on Sloane's orders, and he never forgot that but he put his personal issues aside when he had to work with Sloane again without constantly going on about it. Over the seasons he's matured. In the beginning he was dedicated to the CIA (well what he thought was the CIA) and turned Sydney in as a suspected double agent, knowing they would kill her, because he was loyal to the job. This contrasts with breaking the rules to save his children in season three, and to investigate Sloane in season four. Perhaps realising that he'd been lied to for nine years made him see things in a less black and white way. I just love Dixon.

Info: I love Marshall, maybe it's because I'm something of a tech geek myself and I often find I'm explaining something and nobody understands a word I've said. It's more likely though that I just love Marshall because he's Marshall and awesome. He's very brave, resisting torture in A Higher Echelon season two episode, and singlehandedly saved Sydney and Hong Kong in the Tuesday episode of season four. He's just brilliant, a real scene stealer who definitely should have got more airtime.

Info: The fanlisting for the TV show Martial Law which starred Sammo Hung as Sammo Law, China's top-cop on an exchange with the LAPD with some mean Martial Arts moves. Kelly Hu also stars as Sammo's student Grace Chen and Arsenio Hall is Terrell Parker, Sammo's partner and friend. Together they defeat Lee Hei in the first season and Scorpio in the second.

Info: A British TV show, belonging to the BBC network, starring Alun Armstrong, James Bolam, Amanda Redman and Dennis Waterman. Based around UCOS , the Unsolved Crime and Open case Squad. Basically three retired officers, Jack Halford (Bolam), Brian Lane (Armstrong) and Gerry Standing (Waterman) are re-recruited to examine cold cases. Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullam (Redman) is their commanding officer. A very funny show. The real focus is on the character interaction rather than the cases.

Info: I've visited many preserved railways but the one that I always come back to is the North York Moors Railway. It stretches for an amazing 18 miles (24 when it steams on the main line to Whitby) and the journey is an hour and a half one way. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking and the stations have been painstakingly restored. Goathland station is probably the most famous as it is Aidensfield in Heartbeat and Hogsmeade in Harry Potter. The railway has also been used in many other TV/Movie productions.

It is a popular filming location with areas being used for such well known films as Harry Potter. The park also has a rich history with the tales of Dracula being written at and inspired by Whitby among others.

Info: In my opinion this is a completely different movie from the original so it shouldn't be labelled a remake, personally I enjoyed this movie a lot more than the original. The characters are great. Charlie and Stella's relationship is good, they're both stubborn but when Stella panicked and didn't think she could open the vault he calmed her down. Lyle is awesome, I love him he's such a geek and very cool. Handsome Rob is well handsome and very smooth like when he bedded that cable girl. There's some comedy moments as well and some great one liners. Just love the movie. I adopted this fanlisting from Carmen in January 2009 when it had 155 members.

Info: I love this movie. It is an amazing movie that makes me so happy everytime I watch it. The soundtrack, the lines, the characters, the acting, it's all perfect. Anne Hathaway is a great actress and brilliant as Mia but the real star of the show is probably Julie Andrews as Queen Clarisse Renaldi. She is so believable as royalty. My favourite character is probably Joe though, the head of security. Oh yeah, great movie. They should definitely make more.

Info: Wizard Rock is a genre of artists who write and perform songs based on the Harry Potter books. I love this genre more than any other as I think it's safe to say there's no artists in it I truly dislike and there are also some really brilliant ones. Wizard Rock artists are the most played on my iPod. Love it!
