Granted Wishlisters
Info: Season Two is my favourite season of Alias. There wasn't a dull moment in the whole season, from the opening where bam mother shot daughter, to the end where there's the fight with clone Francie and then Syd wakes up to find two years have gone. In this season the show continues with it's tendancy for cliffhanger endings. Halfway through this season what we were waiting for happened SD-6/The Alliance got taken down and a greater threat replaces it. Sloane engineered the downfall of the Alliance so he could pursue Rambaldi's endgame. He wasn't alone on that quest. Irina plays a game of her own. There are so many reasons to love this season. Marshall gets kidnapped and he's so brave. He must know when he codes Pong rather than echelon that they will kill him but he doesn't want to betray his country. I love Marshall. Then there's Dixon, they were wrong to not tell him. They use the excuse of "you can't choose the life of a double agent for somebody" because they know that that's what he'd choose. He really proves what a good guy he is when he comes to rescue Syd when she was captured in the Firebomb episode, in many ways I think he's a better friend than she deserves. Then there's more Weiss. I was annoyed when he got shot in the first episode as it took him out of the show for half the season but then when he came back he had more of a role than ever. I love Weiss. There's so many good episodes, I just love how the plot unfolds. Events happen and you think it's for one reason then it turns out to be another. It's brilliant and so interesting to watch. The Passage (1)(2) episodes and A Dark Turn are probably my favourite from the season but I also loved The Abduction (Marshall on a mission), The Getaway, Firebomb, you know what I loved the whole season. There wasn't a single weak episode. There was also more Sark in this and I love him despite the fact that he's a bad guy.

Info: Diagnosis Murder was originally a TV show which starred Dick Van Dyke, his son Barry, Charlie Schattler and Victoria Rowell. Guest stars often included other members of the Van Dyke family which made it a real family affair. However, all good things must come to an end and the show was axed after nine seasons. An executive producer, Lee Goldberg, then took up the challenge of writing a book series based on Diagnosis Murder. This fanlisting is for the TV show and the book series. I adopted this fanlisting from Blossom in July 2006 when it had 19 members.

Info: This pairing is just incredible. Even though it seems obvious what happened in 'canon' other interpretations can still be drawn. After all in the Alias universe it's not ever sure if people are really dead. It could be that mystery, that sense that there's always more to it, like peeling back layers of wrapping paper or something that makes it so compelling. The characters also have incredible chemistry, their scenes were so heavy, they didn't need to say a word and the heartache, the betrayal, the anger, the repressed love, it was all there. Sadly they weren't actually on screen that much together. I can't believe the writers killed them both and they made Irina evil. They didn't get the ending they deserved. After all they'd been through together they deserved a happy ending, I figured they weren't exactly going to get one, it wouldn't be their style, but I wanted them together, or at least alive with the possibility. Though I suppose I have my denial universe to keep me happy.
This pairing, it's complicated, it's real, it's compelling and the chemistry is incredible. I've never known a pairing like it. It's not the popular one on Alias but it's the one that has me completely hooked. They just keep coming back to each other; season two in Panama, season three well the missing years, season four, Sevogda. Ok they weren't all true reconciliations but I don't expect that his CIA bosses were very impressed that Irina 'escaped' so he took a risk for her. Risks are in my view a real way of showing how much you love someone. They love each other, they hurt each other, they might well have killed each other if given the chance. Hate, love, passion, betrayal. It's all there.

Info: A British TV show, belonging to the BBC network, starring Alun Armstrong, James Bolam, Amanda Redman and Dennis Waterman. Based around UCOS , the Unsolved Crime and Open case Squad. Basically three retired officers, Jack Halford (Bolam), Brian Lane (Armstrong) and Gerry Standing (Waterman) are re-recruited to examine cold cases. Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullam (Redman) is their commanding officer. A very funny show. The real focus is on the character interaction rather than the cases.

Info: I've visited many preserved railways but the one that I always come back to is the North York Moors Railway. It stretches for an amazing 18 miles (24 when it steams on the main line to Whitby) and the journey is an hour and a half one way. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking and the stations have been painstakingly restored. Goathland station is probably the most famous as it is Aidensfield in Heartbeat and Hogsmeade in Harry Potter. The railway has also been used in many other TV/Movie productions.

Info: The North York Moors National Park is one of the most diverse national parks in England covering moorland, dales and the coast. It is a popular filming location with areas being used for such well known films as Harry Potter. The park also has a rich history with the tales of Dracula being written at and inspired by Whitby among others.

Info: I love this movie. It is an amazing movie that makes me so happy everytime I watch it. The soundtrack, the lines, the characters, the acting, it's all perfect. Anne Hathaway is a great actress and brilliant as Mia but the real star of the show is probably Julie Andrews as Queen Clarisse Renaldi. She is so believable as royalty. My favourite character is probably Joe though, the head of security. Oh yeah, great movie. They should definitely make more.
