Welcome to the only TFL approved fanlisting for the movie The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, a Gary Marshall film which stars Anne Hathaway as Mia Thermopolis. Mia discovered in the first film that she'd won the genetic lottery and was first in line for the throne of Genovia after the unfortunate death of her father. However, in this movie Mia discovers that rather than learning at her grandmother's side (Queen Clarisse Renaldi played by acting royalty Julie Andrews) she has to assume the throne immediately or lose it to a new contender in the form of Nicholas Devereaux (Chris Pine). Before she can start her reign she has to get married as "Genovia shall have no Queen unless she is bound in holy matrimony", que a funny string of events that lead to a heartwarming conclusion.I love this film. Whenever I'm ill or a little depressed I watch this or the first one, quite often both. It never fails to make me 100% happy once more and I never get tired of it. I love every single thing about this film, one day I'll probably hit the big 100 with it I'll have watched it so many times.
